Cairns get ready for your monthly dose of poetry, creativity and connection at Velvet Words. and open-mic night at Folly. Whether you are a poet, storyteller or just someone who loves the magic of words this is your space to sit and enjoy.

Valentines Paint and Sip
We’re back with a Valentines Paint your Partner special!
Our last Paint your Partner went so well we thought we would bring it back for this special evening. So if you’re looking for something new and fun for date night, whether with a friend or lover, join us with the gorgeous MK Creative girls. Enjoy a shared cheese board, delecatble drinks and if you are feeling a little more than peckish, the fabulous Redlynch Thai is right next door and you can order there seperately.
We will have some live music whilst we guide you through your masterpiece and to get your creative juices flowing
If you’re a seasoned painter go for your style if you wish, if you’re a newbie we will be doing an abstract Picasso style with lots of help and advice from us. Paintings to be revealed to our partners at the end for maximum joy and hilarity.
Most importantly this is about having fun!

Time to amp up your makeup skills just in-time for the party season! Join the fabulous Sandra Gallo Hair and Make-up as she takes you through simple and effective techniques to up your makeup game.
Gather your girlfriends for an evening of fun and glam. Enjoy a complimentary drink on arrival, and a delicious cheese board throughout the night.

Paint Sip Shop
This is going to be a special one! We are partnering MK Creative and the incredible clothing brand Alliance of Kin, painting in the style of their iconic prints. No creative experience necessary! We will guide you through the whole thing and provide all the materials so all you have to do is show up and have fun!
Alliance of Kin will be there with some of their amazing range and you can check out their new collection. We will be giving away some fabulous prizes and having a hell of time
